About
Inspired by the climate week in New York, the aim of the very first Shanghai Climate Week (SCW2024) was to facilitate international collaborations on sustainability.
With circular economy principles aligning with all 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), they are a strategic priority for the Nordic countries. Technological advancements supporting circular economies have made remarkable progress in recent years, and with China being one of the largest consumer markets, the adoption of Nordic circular economy principles could benefit consumers, suppliers, and the overall pursuit of sustainable development.
SCW2024 empowered Danish, Norwegian and Finnish businesses to present solutions and build important relationships with top decision-makers at the forefront of China’s green transition. Danish, Norwegian and Finnish companies were invited to participate in a wide spectrum of activities during SCW2024. This included conferences, workshops, debates, and site visits. Dansk Industri (DI), State of Green, Innovation Center Denmark, and their Chinese partner Wincube curated several events with particular emphasis on showcasing Danish strongholds in the sustainability field. They provided a unique platform to share insights and present innovative business solutions towards local stakeholders.
