Marine Litter and Circular Economy
National dialogue on priority issues for project funding in the frame of the Global Environment Facility investment portfolio
About the event
In 2018, our co-founder, Arpit Bhutani, was invited to a knowledge-sharing session on ‘Marine Litter and Circular Economy’ that was a part of the National Dialogue on priority issues for project funding tied to the Global Environment Facility investment portfolio. There were about 200 government, civil society and other NGO representatives attending the event. The session discussed the importance of knowledge sharing, particularly with regard to air pollution and marine plastics.
For the sub-session on marine plastics, Arpit spoke on India's challenges and measures to meet the ambitious target of no single-use plastic by 2025 as well as interests in a knowledge-sharing platform on circular economy.
