About
The Indo-Danish Plastic (IDP) Innovation Network, a collaborative initiative between India and Denmark, organized a delegation exchange to advance cooperation in Sustainable Plastic Management. Established under the Green Strategic Partnership agreement signed in 2020, this collaboration aimed to enhance political cooperation, strengthen economic relations, and drive green growth, with a strong focus on the circular economy and solid waste management.
Building on the success of a prior visit to Denmark in May 2024, the IDP Innovation Network hosted a roundtable discussion to foster a unified approach to addressing plastic waste. This roundtable brought together industry innovators, academics, and government representatives to formulate actionable outcomes with real-world impact.
Supported by organizations such as DRIIV, CSIR NPL, TERI, IIT Delhi, MoEFCC, MoPNG, MoP, CPCB, along with Danish clusters, academia, industry stakeholders, government bodies, public authorities, and relevant science publications, the IDP Innovation Network's collaborative approach was instrumental in advancing sustainable solutions.
Through joint research and development initiatives, industry partnerships, policy advocacy, awareness campaigns, and educational programs, the Indo-Danish collaboration made significant strides in driving social and technological interventions. Leveraging the combined strengths of India and Denmark in research, technology, and commercialization, this partnership set new benchmarks in sustainable plastic management, inspiring a pathway towards a circular economy and encouraging global action for a greener future.
