Circular Innovation Lab (CIL) proudly collaborated with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) at the 6th ICC Sustainability Conclave, a premier event focusing on “Sustainable Chemical Manufacturing: Innovations, Integration and Incentives.”
The event brought together global leaders, policymakers and industry experts to explore pathways for sustainability within the chemical sector.
A highlight of the conclave was the UNEP-led session titled "Global Framework on Chemicals and Green Chemistry: Pathways to a Sustainable Future." Moderated by Apoorva Arya of Circular Innovation Lab, the session featured insightful discussions on global frameworks for chemical management, green chemistry innovations, and public-private partnerships fostering safer, sustainable practices. Esteemed panelists included Ludovic Bernaudat (UNEP), Ravi Kapoor (Indian Chemical Council), Shri Ved Prakash Mishra (IRS) from India’s Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, and Deepak Mishra from the Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals. Industry leaders such as Dr. Debabrata Rautaray of DCM Shriram Chemicals and Karthikeyan KS of Proklean Technologies also contributed valuable insights into advancing sustainability through innovative solutions.
The conclave provided a platform for global leaders and stakeholders, including representatives from the Government of India, academia and private sector organizations such as PwC, Unilever and Tata Chemicals, to collectively explore strategies for a sustainable future. CIL extends its gratitude to UNEP, the Indian Chemical Council and all participants for their dedication to sustainability and their efforts in promoting transformative practices within the chemical industry. Together with the diverse stakeholders present, CIL continues to champion sustainable practices and transformative change in the chemical industry.
