About

As part of the UNDP Eurasia Circular Economy 2024 Event Series with Private Sector Partners, the event in Istanbul, Türkiye, aimed to advance circular economy principles and foster sustainable economic growth through enhanced private sector collaborations. The "Waste to Wealth: Rethinking Our Economic Path and Embracing Circularity" event took place as part of a series of events which focused on a specific sector within a circular economy, exploring innovative practices, challenges, and opportunities for collaboration between international organizations like UNDP and private sector stakeholders.


The objective of the event was to tackle the pressing issue of plastic waste by delving into innovative technologies and sustainable product design practices in Europe and Central Asia. Insights and commitments from the event support UNDP’s goals of promoting sustainability and resilience in economic systems, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).


This event was in collaboration with the Circular Innovation Lab and UNDP ECIS.​​
